Elections UpdateThe results are in - you have elected the Fed reps you want for Kent Police Federation Branch.
Officers could nominate themselves between 1 and 17 February with voting taking place between 1 and 21 March.
These reps can now put themselves forward to join the Kent Branch Board. Our Branch Board meets regularly through the year to consider issues that affect our members and include the local Chair, Secretary and Treasurer. They act as the negotiation and consultative body when dealing with our chief constable, senior officers and our PCC, providing an effective link between officers and senior management. Branch Boards also deal with the day-to-day problems federated officers face, and work to improve the status of the police service and its members.
After the Branch Board has been selected, all Federated members will be able to vote for the Kent Federation Chair from 14 to 30 May. Branch chairs act as the internal and external spokesperson for the Branch, work in conjunction with the Branch Board to define and deliver the strategic direction of the Branch and should ensure the welfare of the members and the force are at the heart of the services provided. Branch Secretaries and Treasurers are elected by the Branch Board.
